Amb. Amin M. Dalhatu with the Nigerian Athletes, Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere, Akuoma Omeoga and Simidele Adeagbo

On 5th February, 2018, The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Republic of Korea welcomed the Nigerian athletes and delegates to the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics at Incheon Airport, Republic of Korea. Nigeria will be competing in 2 events, Bobsleigh and Skeleton Athletics. Four brave and talented women, Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga will be representing Nigeria in Bobsleigh while Simidele Adeagbo will be representing Nigeria in Skeleton athletics.

17th February, 2018 20:00 Skeleton Athletics (Women) Medal Event

20th February, 2018 20:00 Bobsleigh (Women)

21st February, 2018 20:00 Bobsleigh (Women) Medal Event

25th February, 2018 Closing Ceremony

 

In his welcome address, Ambassador Dalhatu congratulated the girls for qualifying and for being the first Nigerian Athletes to compete in Winter Olympics. He assured them of the Embassy’s support as well as Nigeria’s Support. The Ambassador concluded his remarks by encouraging the girls to aim for  Gold.
