Authentication of Document issued by Nigerian authorities / institutions

Authentication of documents issued by Nigerian Government establishments will be processed upon request by applicant to the relevant authorities in Nigeria for confirmation. Upon receipt of confirmation, the Embassy will complete the process of Authentication.

Requirements for Authentication of Documents

  1. Letter addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy requesting the service with stated reasons for the need
  2. Originals of documents to be authenticated (The original will be returned to applicant after sighting)
  3. 2 copies each of the documents to be authenticated
  4. Identification (Passport and Alien Card)
  5. Service fees as follows:

Registration of Birth and Death of Nigerians in Korea

 

             The Embassy keeps Registers of Birth and Death of Nigerians in Korea. Nigerians resident in Korea are encouraged to register birth and death Nigerians with the Embassy within the shortest time possible.

 

Requirements

  1. A written letter by one of the family members/friends indicating his/her contact details, i.e Residential address, Email, Contact Number, Place of work etc, announcing the Birth or Death of the Nigerian. Attach the following.
  2. Copy of data pages of passports of the announcer
  3. Original copy of the Birth Certificate or Death Certificate of the Nigerian to be registered. Original documents would be sighting by the Consular Officer and returned to the applicant.
  4. Registration is Free
  • Allow five(5) working days for the process

Certificate of Documents

All original copies of documents submitted to the Embassy that does not require confirmation from Nigeria can only be certified as sighted documents by the Embassy.

 

Requirement for Certification of Documents

  1. Letter requesting the service and given reasons
  2. Original of documents to be certified (Will be returned to applicant after sighting)
  3. Copy of each document to be certified
  4. Certificate of Incorporation in English
  5. Power of Attorney (With Notaries Certificate)
  6. Original Certificate of Free Sales (Will be returned to applicant after sighting)
  7. Original copy of Table of Component Analysis (Will be returned to applicant after sighting)
  8. All documents requiring endorsement except the Power of Attorney should be in English
  9. Evidence of payment of appropriate fee as follows:

Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC)

 

Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) is a one-way travel document issued by Nigerian Mission abroad that authorizes a Nigerian national which for certain reason is not in possession of the Nigerian Passport with the aim to facilitate his/her re-entry into Nigeria. The Certificate is the property of the Nigerian Immigration and the beneficiary must surrender it to the Immigration at any of the entry port in Nigeria.

 

Requirement of Emergency Travel Certificate

Written letter, addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria, Seoul, detailing the circumstances surrounding the non-availability of the applicant’s passport

  1. Details of the lost/stolen/damaged passport if known
  2. Expired Passport
  3. Copy of Police report of the lost/stolen passport if it is applicable
  4. 2 passport sized photographs
  5. Flight Reservation
  6. Evidence of payment of appropriate fee as follows:

Authentication of Nigerian Driver’s Licence

 

Please attach the following requirements to facilitate the authentication process.
