THIS IS TO INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT THE CONSULATE GENERAL HAS COMMENCED THE ISSUANCE OF THE NEW E-PASSPORT WITH EFFECT FROM MONDAY, 30TH JUNE 2008:-

PASSPORT (RE-ISSUE) / PASSPORT (RENEWAL) / REPLACEMENT OF LOST PASSPORT / VISAS
ARE EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED AND PAID FOR ON-LINE THROUGH THE E-IMMIGRATION PLATFORM AT www.immigration.gov.ng.
IN KEEPING WITH THIS DEVELOPMENT, THE CONSULATE-GENERAL OF NIGERIA IN NEW YORK WILL, FROM THAT DATE, REQUIRE EVIDENCE OF ON-LINE PAYMENT(S) FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE SERVICES BEFORE PROCESSING AND ISSUING THE DOCUMENTS

The applicant must forward the following items:
- Police Report on Loss of Passport in Republic of Korea (if Applicable);
- Police Report of non-criminality in Republic of Korea (except for Minors);
- Application Letter Detailing need for

an ETC;
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Sworn Affidavit of Age (Age Declaration);
- Photocopy of Lost Passport (if any) or any documentation from Nigeria;
- Photocopy to Flight ticket (Destination for Nigeria only);
- Two (2) Passport size Photographs endorsed at the back;
- A non-refundable processing fee of $70.00 in Money Order or Certified Cheque payable to Nigeria Embassy High Commission, Republic of Korea

Enclose a self-addressed Priority Courier Envelope to return your ETC Certificate;

The applicant may be required to attend an interview, if necessary.

It is very important to note that an Emergency Travel Certificate is only good for a single journey to Nigeria, and must be surrendered to Nigerian Immigration at the point of entry.
